Suspension Trauma Safety Strap
Suspension Trauma is a dangerous condition which can happen when a person is suspended in a harness after a fall. If the harness cuts off the blood circulation in the legs, unconsciousness or serious injury can occur. The Suspension Trauma Safety Strap helps prevent this potential danger. In the event of a fall, the strap is quickly deployed to give the wearer a foothold to stand in, which relieves the pressure being applied to the arteries and veins in the legs. The strap is stored in a pair of packs which attach to the harness at the hip. After a fall the two packs are unzipped, revealing both ends of the strap which are then quickly connected. The strap fits most major harness brands and styles.
